9/12 Pay Option Plan
Beginning August 11, 2008, academic employees at The University of Arizona are
paid in 20 pay cycles over the 9-month academic year. Eligible academic year
appointees may receive income for twelve months, from July 1, 2008 through June
30, 2009, by enrolling in the 9/12 Pay Option Plan. Ineligible employees
include those in the initial year of appointment; graduate assistants/associates;
"visiting", "adjunct" and other temporary employees; and
employees in a temporarily-funded position.
ENROLLING IN THE 9/12 PAY OPTION PLAN
If you wish to begin using this option, please complete the new 9/12 Pay Option
Enrollment Agreement Form. Completed enrollment agreement forms MUST be
received by Human Resources by May 23, 2008 to be effective with the first
paycheck in July.
WITHDRAWING FROM THE 9/12 PAY OPTION PLAN
If you wish to withdraw from your 12-month pay arrangement and begin receiving
your pay over the 9-month academic year, please complete the
Return to 9/9
Academic Pay Plan. Completed forms MUST be received by Human Resources by May
23, 2008 to be effective with the first paycheck in July.
